Our programmes are beginner friendly and come with everything your team needs to get started!
MATERIALS

We will prepare aprons, all necessary tools, equipment, and unlimited clay for your selected programme.
GUIDANCE
Our experienced instructors will demonstrate the techniques, guide participants through the making process and be on hand to offer support along the way.
No prior pottery experience is required. Our programmes are designed to be approachable even for complete beginners.
KEEPSAKES
TO BRING HOME
Each participant can make 2 pieces that will be professionally glazed and fired after the session. (Additional glazing and firing is available at an additional charge).
Collection or delivery arrangements can be discussed with our team.

Handbuilding
Hand-building involves shaping clay directly with your hands using techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building. It is a flexible, expressive process that allows for organic forms and individual creativity.

wants greater individual creative expressions as hand-building allows you to create any unique shape you can think of. This option is also great for making items together as a team.

Wheel Throwing
Wheel throwing involves shaping clay on a spinning pottery wheel by centring, opening and pulling the clay into form. The process is commonly used to create rounded forms such as cups, bowls and vases.
Choose this if your team...
is up for a personal challenge as wheel-throwing is a moderately challenging activity that requires physical coordination and patience. Since the wheel makes it easier to create similar rounded forms, this is also a great option for teams who want to make coordinated pieces such as cups or bowls.

The Dragon Kiln setting allows us to go beyond simply making pottery: teams can explore different aspects of ceramics while learning more about clay, firing and the journey from raw material to finished ceramic ware.
For larger groups and organisations looking for a more immersive day out, the experience can also incorporate specially designed group activities that encourage interaction, communication and collaboration.
